North colonnaded street
This 'Cardo', or colonnaded street, with its simple Ionic columns, still has visible tracks of chariot wheels in the paving stones. In the distance you see the Tetrapylon. It's a monumental entrance to the North Theater, an intersection of roads with a domed roof, elaborative carved decoration and four arched sides to allow traffic to pass through.
