Cream of the Crop
Ireland harbours many heritage sites, but only a couple of them are extensive and in perfect condition. They are swamped with tourists during heigh season and still crowded beyond. So when I found this site, with its round tower, abbey, church, several annexes, high crosses and cemetery but without the crowds, the visitor centre and facilities, I was absolutely thrilled. The great light was a gift.
