A river runs through it

Located within the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation, is Antelope Canyon. A long time ago herds of pronghorn antelope roamed here freely, explaining the name of this beautiful place. It consists of two slot canyons, Upper Antelope (Tse' bighanilini, or "the place where water runs through rocks") and Lower Antelope (Hasdestwazi, or "spiral rock arches"). Rushing water and wind sculpted this fantastic canyon. It has majestic and narrow passages with shafts of sunlight shining down from above..
