Dixie Forest

During a scenic drive through some of the two million acres that constitute the Dixie National Forest, I was struck by enthralling sights of the woods. The largest national forest in Utah, Dixie Forest borders Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon, Grand Staircase-Escalante and Capitol Reef. Aspen trees and conifers dominate higher elevations. The pristine appearance of the white barked aspen trees in spring foliage is in sharp contrast with the raw and gloomy mien of the conifers.
