Golden Canyon
The six mile Golden Canyon trail in Death Valley leads to what is called 'the Red Cathedral'. The high-walled canyon itself shows clear signs of several million years of erosion by water. At the time this picture was taken, there was no water. But when it comes here, there is a lot of it, and it is usually moving very rapidly.
