Place beyond the pine plains
The tranquility of a farmhouse in Schenectady (Mohawk word for "on that side of the pinery", "near the pines" or "place beyond the pine plains") county, New York state, in the dead of winter. What the image doesn't tell, is that as I took this picture, my fingers nearly froze off in a staggering zero degrees Fahrenheit (minus 18 degrees Celsius).
