Great Wall of China
I went to Badaling to visit the Great Wall, about 44 miles northwest of Beijing. This part of the Wall is pretty touristy, but at the right time of day the steeper parts of this world wonder offer great vistas. The wall is mankind's most extensive construction endeavor, which back in the 16th and 17th century snaked 4000 miles across the country.
